Eli Huli, master music instrument
builder & percussion player, was born in Israel in
1956 . He come from musical family and from early
age was deeply connected with both oriental and
western classical music. His
father was a clarinet player in Cairo Philharmonic
orchestra, before he emigrated to Israel in early
forty's.
Mr. Huli played
percussion in National Theatre "Ha Bima" and in
numerous productions in Israel and abroad.
The turning point in
his career as
an top builder of ethnic percussion was when he met
the world - wide known musician Zohar Fresco. Two
of them developed special kind of riq, frame drum
and kan - Miriam. Thanks to Zohar Fresco's huge
musical abilities and knowledge and Eli Huli's
craftsmanship, those instruments meet highest standards
of today's musicians.
Today, Eli Huli's
instruments are played by leading world
percussionists like: Zohar
Fresco, Andrea
Piccioni, David Kukerman, Kobi Hagoel, Itamar Doari,
n.scott robinson, Yenon Mualem, Erez Munk
and others.
